Commissioner Robert Baldwin, III

Robert Baldwin, III is a journalist and attorney in Washington D.C. He currently produces National Public Radio’s flagship program, “All Things Considered,” where he draws on his background in reporting on Capitol Hill to cover the week"s leading news.

Since graduating from law school in 2015, Mr. Baldwin has covered many of the nation’s leading news topics, including extensive reporting on deaths in police custody, and the presidential impeachment trial. In 2019, Mr. Baldwin was awarded the National Press Club’s Breaking News Award for his team’s coverage of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting.

In 2018, Mr. Baldwin founded Virtue Law Group, a Washington D.C.-based law firm that focuses ‘on employment discrimination. During his time with the American Federation of Government Employees, he worked on labor and employment concerns within the U.S. Department of Labor.

A Ward 6 resident, Mr. Baldwin holds a Bachelor of Arts from Shaw University, a Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, and a Master of Laws from the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law.
