(Washington, DC) – Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced a series of transitions and appointments in her Administration.
The DC Commission on Human Rights requests your assistance in identifying nominees for the following two categories of human rights awards to be awarded during the 2021 Human Rights Gala. This Gala will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in advance of the annual international Human Rights Day, which is celebrated annually on December 10, the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). It is expected that the Gala will take place as an in-person event with live streaming available. Nominations must be received no later than October 29, 2021.

The DC Commission on Human Rights Bi-Monthly meetings are open to the public and held virtually from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. via Zoom, unless otherwise noted.
