Source of income discrimination continues to be one of the top issues cited in housing complaints received by the DC Office of Human Rights, DC's civil rights enforcement agency.  Join us for an overview of DC's extensive fair housing laws and an in-depth discussion on source of income protections, including best practices around minimum income requirements, short- and long-term subsidies, emergency assistance, and more.  This training is intended for DC housing providers, leasing managers, realtors, rental managers, and landlords.

Here in DC, we value the diversity of our visitors and residents and protect their ability to access goods and services without encountering discrimination.  At this free training for DC business owners, customer service/frontline staff, supervisors, HR managers, etc. staff from the DC Office of Human Rights (OHR), DC's civil rights enforcement agency, will provide detailed information on DC's civil rights protections based on gender identity/expression, national origin, sex, and race in the context of providing public accommodations, ie goods and services to the public.
