Here in DC, we value the diversity of our visitors and residents and protect their ability to access goods and services without encountering discrimination.  At this free training for DC business owners, customer service/frontline staff, supervisors, HR managers, etc. staff from the DC Office of Human Rights (OHR), DC's civil rights enforcement agency, will provide detailed information on DC's civil rights protections based on gender identity/expression, national origin, sex, and race in the context of providing public accommodations, ie goods and services to the public.  OHR staff will also review OHR's enforcement process for public accommodations discrimination complaints and provide some best practices for providing a workplace that is welcoming to all members of our diverse city.
