(Washington, DC) In celebration of Fair Housing Month, the Office of Human Rights, the Equal Rights Center, and the Department of Housing and Community Development will hold the 2002 Fair Housing Symposium, "National Issues, Local Responses," on Friday, April 12. This symposium will bring together government representatives, district residents, fair housing advocates, real estate experts, and financial professionals for a dynamic and informative series of panel discussions.
Panelists will provide current information on predatory lending, disability laws, fair housing in a growing real estate market, new immigrant communities, regional opportunity counseling and the Section 8 program.
