The DC Office of Human Rights will be talking with attendees at the Capital Pride celebration on Sunday, June 9. Stop by our table to take a 'pride photo' and learn more about non-discrimination in the District.
The Office of Human Rights will be tabling and speaking at Capital TransPride on May 18. Stop by and say 'hello'!
Featuring a community resource fair, free HIV testing, a panel discussion, awards presentation and a historical exhibit of public health posters from metropolitan Washington, DC This event is free and open to the public--all ages welcome! A suggested $5 donation supports refreshments, appetizers and the Latino GLBT History Project's year round programs in historical preservation, cultural celebrations, advocacy and educational presentations at local and national conferences. The DC Latino Pride advisory committee includes ¡Empodérate!, Identity and Grupo Latino Dignity Washington, DC.
The Office of Human Rights will be participating in the DC African Wellness Fête, a celebratory culmination of OAA’s three month-long health education campaign titled Think. Eat. Act. Move Africa (T.E.A.M. Africa). The goals of the Fête are to motivate positive health behavior within the African community and increase awareness of local health services and resources.

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 15, 2013– On Thursday, April 18, the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights (OHR), Equal Rights Center (ERC) and the District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development will host the 12th Annual D.C. Fair Housing Symposium.
OHR offers citywide training and outreach to inform residents, businesses, and organizations about their rights and responsibilities under the DCHRA. Through community events, presentations, and workshops, OHR promotes equal opportunity and inclusion across the District. Training are available by request.
