Class 2 (HM101) – Understanding ADA and DCFMLA

This course is for District government employees seeking certfication as an EEO Counselor or Officier within the District government.This course will provide an in-depth discussion of protections afforded by the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, the anti-disability discrimination provisions under the DC Human Rights Act, and anti-discrimination under the DCFMLA.  The course will explore what reasonable accommodation means and how to identify scenarios in which the agency must inform employees of DC FMLA benefits.

District employees can register for this training via their Peoplesoft account.

**As a reminder, all designated EEO Counselors and Officers must be trained and certified by OHR before performing the duties of an EEO Counselor or Officer. Certification requires successful completion of the three training courses on relevant laws and processes (HM100, HM101, HM102) and passing the post training assessment test.**
