Join transgender legal experts to hear about developments in employment and non-discrimination law, as well as other areas of law relevant to transgender rights in DC and at the federal level. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has recognized that transgender people have rights under Title VII; and DC has one of the strongest non-discrimination laws in the country. Panelists from the National Center for Transgender Equality, Trans Legal Advocates of Washington, and Whitman Walker Health will also cover other relevant areas of law for transgender people, including health care access, identity documents, jails and prisons, and discrimination by service providers. The panel will be moderated by staff from the DC Office of Human Rights.
