Readymade@100 - The American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center

The American University Museum presents Readymade@100, an exhibit celebrating the 100th anniversary of Marcel Duchamp's readymade concept opening September 2nd through October 19, 2014.
CALL FOR ENTRIES: This exhibition, curated by Maryland artist, art theorist and Corcoran College of Art and Design professor, Mark Cameron Boyd, includes an open call for submissions of "new" readymades from artists that significantly expand upon Duchamp's originary idea. The American University Museum will publish a catalog of the exhibition with reproductions of selected artworks and a curatorial essay. Gallery talks and a lecture will be held during the exhibition.
TO SUBMIT: Submissions must include a high-resolution (300 DPI) digital image with an artist resume (a brief explanation is optional). Email entries to musuem@american.edu
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: June 15th. Accepted artists will be notified by July 15th.
Readymade artists are responsible for shipping their work to the American University Museum by August 15th. The museum will return the work in a comparable shipping manner.
